SPARC is the newest and largest multi-sport facility and members’ club located on the west coast of Mauritius. SPARC offers a premier experience in health, fitness, sport and leisure options to greatly enhance our members’ lives, athletes, coaches and the community. Clubhouse Café & Dining

The Clubhouse is a great place to meet friends and family or to relax after a fitness class. The large, stylish Clubhouse serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with a fantastic view of the ocean, sport facilities and Le Morne. Fresh juice bar. Free Wi-Fi. Great place for coffee.

The Clubhouse offers a mouth-watering menu of freshly prepared homemade meals and snacks.

Fitness Centre

With all-new, top-of-the-range, Lifefitness equipment. The fitness Centre has innovative group fitness classes that bring some of the latest world trends in fitness to our members. Our full-time qualified staff are there to help, teach motivate and inspire you to reach your fitness goals. There are 5 rooms to bring out your best, the group Fitness Studio, the Main Hall, the Spin Studio, the Power Room, and the work-S.H.O.P.

Medical & Health Centre

The SPARC Medical & Health Centre has 10 medical consultation rooms which have a mix of medical and para-medical practitioners to maximise your health.

50m Pool

The only 50m x 25m heated swimming pool with 10 lanes in Mauritius. Ideally located for a swim before or after work, after school or on the weekend. Depth ranges from 1.35m to 2.0m. A full range of classes from learn-to-swim for children and adults, fitness classes and squad training. The pool has conveniently located change rooms and lockers for members.

The pool also has a fantastic inflatable pool obstacle course. Race your friends and test your skills! Fun for all ages.


4 pitches with artificial turf, 360o netting and night lights. The grass is “Field Turf 360XL” with increased thickness and durability making it athlete friendly and beautiful looking. FIFA quality grass will ensure your games and league matches are fast and fun. Book a pitch for a friendly game or register for one of our leagues.

Football & Rugby Pitches

With one full-sized Football/Rugby pitch and one training pitch for 7 or 9-a-side games and practise, it’s perfect for hosting everything from local games to major events. The field has sub-surface irrigation, GPS-marked game line points and its own set of change rooms with 2 team rooms.

Jogging Track

There’ 1.3km of great jogging track that winds throughout SPARC’s grounds. It’s safe, secure, peaceful and exactly what you need before a swim or group fitness class. How many laps do you do before breakfast?


Relax with a game of petanque on one of our two pitches.

SPARC Senior Fitness Instructor

Xavier Colimalay

Xavier has a National Diploma in Fitness (Sports Conditioning) and worked at one of the major multi-sports centres of the island. Sharing an experience is what Xavier looks forward to with every group class or personal training session he leads. In 2016 with a partner he opens his own business specialising in personal training and yoga. Home personal training, weight loss programs, bridal transformations and wellness events are part of his experience in the field. Xavier strongly believes that the fitness industry is all about sharing and growing your knowledge. He is eager to share this with each and every one of our members.



Fitness Instructor

Julien Allet

Graduated with a double degree in Exercise and Sport Science and Exercise Rehabilitation from Edith Cowan University in Perth. Julien has accumulated experience through field work as part of the strength and conditioning staff at the Western Force Rugby Club as well as clients who’s aim have been to lose weight, increase strength & train for a specific sport. Julien’s specialization in Exercise Physiology gives him the ability to help people with Chronic conditions such as Cardiovascular Diseases, Metabolic conditions, Obesity, & physical injuries. His passions are Rugby, Football, Weightlifting, Reading and growing beards



Fitness Instructor

Ekaterina Shchukina

A certified international fitness instructor, Ekaterina finished Body Building & Fitness college in Russia, holds a Europe Active Sport certification and is EREPS registered. Ekaterina specializes in weight loss trainings, body sculpture, muscle development & Latino Dancing. She has accumulated experience working in Europe, Latin America, Russia and Mauritius. Together with Ekaterina you can achieve your fitness goals either in group training, mini groups or personal training sessions.




Swimming Coach

Aubrey Rousselin

Coach Aubrey has a long swimming history. She began swimming at age 6 in “Ecole de Natation” with the MYS and then moved to “CAMO” swimming club for ten years of competitive swimming. Aubrey started coaching at Curepipe Starlight and was mentored by Franck Schott. After six years she moved to Synergy and also worked for Club Natation De Pavillon & Le Dauphin De Quatre Bornes. She has also taught swimming at MyGym for three years from 2014 – 2016 and worked for the MYS. Aubrey is one of the first Mauritian swimming teachers to be successfully qualified as an AUSTSWIM teacher. AUSTSWIM is the international gold standard for swim teachers. She is also CPR, AED and first aid qualfied.Aubrey loves the impact coaches can have on the life of other children and adults alike. She also focuses on building character within the athletes to assist them in becoming the best version of themselves inside and outside the water. 



Swimming Coach

Warren Fitzgerald

Warren is a National level competitive swimmer with multiple national medals. He is working full-time at SPARC and also training for future international competitions. Warren has been an assistant coach for over a year at CNQB and loves working with swimmers of all level. Warren is also one of the first Mauritian coaches to be successfully qualified as an AUSTSWIM teacher. AUSTSWIM is the international gold standard for swim teachers. Ben Hiddlestone

Ben is an Australian, married to a beautiful Mauritian wife and 2 troublesome children. He was National Technical Director of Mauritian Swimming and before that was Head Coach of one of the top High Performance swimming Clubs in Australia for 10 years. He has a Masters in Business and a passion for creating environments where people can achieve their best. Living and working in Tokyo for 7 years he values customer service and good coffee. He is excited by what the great team @ SPARC can do to help you make the most out of life.

Mathieu Thevenet

In 2010 Mathieu graduated from the University of Cape Town (UCT). Mathieu is a Tennis player and fan who represented UCT in the Western Province League in South Africa. Mathieu is the man who makes all the magic work at SPARC.

Michael Chedumbrum

Holder of a degree in human resource management and a diploma in sports management, Michael is the Sport & Recreational Officer of Medine Group since 2012 .He had also been involved in the organization of internal and external sport and welfare event. Passionate of sport, Michael have been involved in the sport industry as athlete, coach, referee and management.

Anoushka Bissoonauth

Anoushka has worked in sales & administrative roles since 2010 at companies such as Nabridas. She has training in professional development, computing, accounts and F&B services. She enjoys adventuring in nature, Pilates and yoga.

Deborah Jean-Baptiste

Deborah has a diploma in Sports Management certified by the International Olympic Committee (2015). She has worked at the Mauritian Triathlon Federation for 1 year and also the Mauritian Swimming Federation for 2 years. Deborah had been involved in various major sports projects, organized by both federations. She has a passion for working in the sports sector and developing the underlying systems and organizations that make our athletes better. Deborah is looking forward to learn how to swim in the new SPARC pool…



Administrative Assistant

Sitaram Sharma Boomitra

“Sharma” is dynamic, creative and committed, with extensive hotel experience in sport, leisure, entertainment and customer service from countries such as Malaysia, Japan, Thailand and Mauritius. He has travelled to many countries and has a passion for fitness, Circus performing, swimming and water-sports. Always ready to deliver, he is passionate about swimming and serving SPARC members. He has a qualification in South African Surf Lifesaving and Royal lifesaving Australia, including Advanced Resuscitation. He holds a Diploma in Sports and Recreational Management from ETA College of Cape Town and is now part of the professional team of Uniciti Sparc as Administrative Assistant.



Facility & Maintenance Attendant

Christopher Collin

Christopher has been working in Medine since 2008. He started maintenance department of BIODIA and join the Corporate department of Medine for the organisation of Sport Event and Maintenance of the Club house. Christopher is an ex national 800m athletics champion and participate in internal athletic event.

He is enthuses working in the new and innovative infrastructure offer by SPARC.
